No Dough Meat Crust Pizza

I don’t know about you, but I love myself some pizza! The only problem however, is that pizza isn’t all that healthy and most definitely won’t help you in reaching any health goals. Sometimes it can make you feel down right heavy after you fill yourself up with a couple slices. The ingredients and nutrition can vary widely depending on what brand, restaurant, or if it is homemade. The truth is, pizza is full of sugars, unhealthy carbs, loads of artery clogging fat, and many of them contain processed foods. I know, pizza is not sounding so great any more right? Well have no fear, because there is another delicious solution, and I am here to share it with you!!! There’s no sugars, unhealthy carbs, artery clogging fat, and no processed food! It is all fresh tasty goodness with zucchini, bell peppers, Rao’s Homemade Marinara, and lean ground turkey!

No Dough Meat Crust PizzaIngredients:1lb. extra lean ground turkey, cooked (Or 9oz. 93% lean ground beef if you are not a fan of ground turkey)2 cups shredded reduced fat mozzarella cheese,  divided1/4 tsp salt1/4 tsp garlic powder1/4 tsp onion powder1/2 tsp Italian seasoning1 tbsp. grated reduced fat parmesan cheese1/2 cup Rao's Marinara Sauce 1/2 cup bell peppers (any color)1/2 cup zucchini, chopped1 oz. turkey pepperoni slices   Directions:Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place ground turkey in a mixing bowl and mix with 1 cup of mozzarella. Add salt, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese until combined. Spread the mixture into a circle on a round pizza pan or baking stone. Cook in the oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese is starting to brown.  Top the meat mixture with the Rao’s Marinara Sauce. Top with 1 cup mozzarella, red peppers, green peppers, zucchini, and turkey pepperoni. Bake for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and a little browned. Let it cool for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving (the crust sticks together better).

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

1 tbsp. grated reduced fat parmesan cheese

1/2 cup Rao's Marinara Sauce

1/2 cup bell peppers (any color)

1/2 cup zucchini, chopped

1 oz. turkey pepperoni slices


Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place ground turkey in a mixing bowl and mix with 1 cup of mozzarella. Add salt, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese until combined. Spread the mixture into a circle on a round pizza pan or baking stone. Top the meat mixture with the Rao’s Marinara Sauce. Top with 1 cup mozzarella, red peppers, green peppers, zucchini, and turkey pepperoni. Bake for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and a little browned. Let it cool for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving (the crust sticks together better).
